Barely Blind New Video and a FREE ALBUM!

Click for instant album download!

I still don’t understand how these guys haven’t hit the big time yet! The combination of their lyrics and their infectious style leads me to believe their success should have came already. With a sound like a pop-punk version Taking Back Sunday, they have the potential to captivate a wide audience of people. Check out their new video for the song, “Silver Lake”. Even if you don’t like the song, maybe you’d like the video, it’s pretty sick! ALSO, for those of you who did enjoy their music, or at least want to hear more, click the image above to download their free album, “Wilder Child of a Thousand Suns”. I repeat, FOR FREE. Either way, it’s free music people!

New Never Shout Never Album, “Time Travel”

Buy on iTunes:

First off, We’ve been gone for a month now so I apologize for that!! Moving on… Wow! I don’t even know what to say about this album. Prior to the release of “Time Travel”, I had always been a huge fan of Christofer Drew’s work, so clearly I already had high expectations for this record. Continue reading

Their name is Galt Aureus, and they is absolutely amazing! This is a case of very talented musicians not getting the credit they deserve. I’ve watched a couple of their videos on YouTube, but one in particular really strikes a chord with me. The video below is of that song, “Coming Down”. In addition to the lyrics and instrument work being really good, the guys voice is absolutely astounding. It’s hard to describe his voice in comparison to someone else, but my best attempt is like a mixture of Incubus and Daughtry. He is really really good, and I recommend him to everyone!

“Like Fergie and Jesus”! – Top 10 Best Voices in the Post-Hardcore Genre

First off, THANK YOU Will Ferrel and John C. Reilly! That has been one of the funniest movies in the past few years, and all the others y’all make are not far behind. BUT, this isn’t a movie blog. SO, I am here to give my list of the top 10 best vocalists in the post-hardcore/hardcore/screamo genre. Many of these artists have been made popular for their voices, and some may be just because their band rocks, I don’t know. All I know is, these guys can actually sing! Some of these guys are not with some of the bands listed as them being from. I am simply pointing out where the name/voice may be familiar from. ENJOY!

10. Shane Told of Silverstein

Prepare Your Mind, It’s About To Be Blown! – “H&H: Video To Watch For”

Like the title states, this song is going to blow your mind! It’s 3:00 A.M. and I can’t sleep, so what do I do? I look for music, that’s what. I have never been more confused after finding this band! By confused I mean, ‘holy-crap-this-is-so-awesome-but-what-kind-of-person-would-think-of-this’ kind of confusion. Just think about this: the best way to describe this band is if you had a band like Panic At The Disco or Fall Out Boy, and you forced them to make a baby with Darude or the Benassi Bros. Yes, I am saying this is what the end product would be a scene – techno love spawn. Weird right? BUT, so good! This band is called, And Then There Were None, and I recommend you give them a listen. My favorite song by them is, “The Hospital“, but the video below is for their song, “Thank The Watchmaker” which is also a very good song. Check them out, it will be worth your time! ENJOY!

A Rant for The Ages – “Sorry I’m Not Sorry…”

I absolutely hate that there are styles of music that are considered “mainstream”. For example, listen to the majority of songs on pop music stations, I can bet my life’s savings that 7/10 or 8/10 songs there will be some sort of electronic sound or some part with auto-tune. I’m no hipster, but I hate it when ‘artists’ such as Ke$ha and Lady Gaga are on the radio and making millions of dollars when there are more talented groups out there. There are bands/artists out there that have more talent in their little toe nail than in some popular artists’ entire bodies. That comment may seem like a bash on Ke$ha and Gaga, but it’s not an attack at them, it’s at the music industry today. To me, Lady Gaga is a genius; she doesn’t have much talent when it comes to singing, and I personally don’t know if she writes her own songs, BUT she is a marketing genius. She knows how to go out there and get her name permanently lodged in your brain. Basically all I’m saying is that the music industry / audience would recognize or at least give a chance to some of those groups out there that have the talent and/or are creating/recreating their genre. And that is all, there is my rant. Please feel free to reply and share your opinion here. To see what I’m talking about by terrible music being what is tearing up the radio waves and winning all the awards, click this video of Ke$ha live.

Simple but Amazing – Incubus’ Music Video

Buy on iTunes:

Along with their amazing new album, Incubus has a new video for one of their new songs, “Adolescents”. Some people may consider videos like this to be boring because it’s just a film of the band playing the song, but in this case I disagree. This video is, like the title state, “simple but amazing”. The black and white film style is a beautiful choice for this group because to me it seems to correlate with their ‘mellow sound’. Later in the video there are some slow motion breaks and other dramatic effects that make an amazing video out of what some may call, boring. click for more. ENJOY!
